Pagani of the Paddocks claims victory in SH-competition Sevenum

In the second leg of the Stal Hendrix competition, another approved stallion secured a win. In Koningsbosch, the Dominator Z son Pinacolada van Seldsum, who finished third today, won the 4yo class. In Sevenum, the Catoki son Pagani of the Paddocks was crowned the winner. Other winners today are Off the Road under the saddle of Nicole Caris and Candy ridden by Ivan Pezzim.

The German judges Achim Lenaerts and Dieter Feltens awarded high scores to the top-ranked horses in the four-year-old category and expressed their satisfaction with the overall quality.

Superb rideability
Under Pietro Lazzaro, the KWPN-approved stallion Pagani of the Paddocks (Catoki x Corofino I, breeder Anthony Mornie) impressed with a score of 8.4 for jumping and 9 for his rideability. “This stallion made a good impression and is very easy to ride. He canters with great power and jumps with a good technique, use of the body, and with good take-off. A very convincing jumper that responds well to the aids,” remarked the judges. Boy Peels secured the second place in Sevenum with his own bred Stakkato Gold mare Platina Gold VP (co-breeder Marcel Verhallen). This horse scored two times an 8.5 and remained clear. “With great power and overview, this mare demonstrated her significant potential. Between the jumpes, she shows her good rideability and impressed all around.” Under substitude rider Stephanie Whitworth, the KWPN-approved stallion Pinacolada van Seldsum (Dominator Z x Namelus R, breeders Minne and Esther Hovenga) also performed well. With his owner Joy Lammers in the saddle, he won in Koningsbosch and today impressed the judges in Sevenum, scoring 8.5 for jumping and 8.4 for rideability. “This is a real powerhouse with a good canter. He jumps with great carefulness, has a lot of power, and a good technique. He is pleasant to ride as well.”

Close competition
Among the five-year-olds, Nicole Caris delivered the best performance with the Comme Il Faut daughter Off the Road (ds.Kannan, breeder Stal Peters). They were the fastest in the second phase, relegating Marieke Vervoort with Opahr (s.Gaspahr, breeder Stoeterij Stroucken) to the second place. Just like the first leg of this competition in Koningsbosch, Piet Raijmakers Jr. secured a third place4 with Offield van Schijndel (s.Diamant de Semilly, breeder Van Schijndel Promotion). The winner of the first competition among the five-year-olds, Britt Driessen with Dia-Mood Z (s.Dominator Z), was placed fifth today. In the six-year-old category, the previous winner and runner-up swapped places. In Sevenum, Ivan Pezzim triumphed with Candy (s.Balinsky) while Teddy van de Rijt finished second with New Hope (s.Cornet Obolensky, breeder J.J. van Tiel). Kristian Houwen jumped to the third place with the Edinburgh offspring N’Abalia SMH.

The third event is scheduled for Tuesday, May the 28th in Kessel, preceding the international Jumping Peel & Maas competition. The series will continue on June the 6th in Meerlo, followed by Merselo on June the 19th.
