Pagani of the Paddocks, the Dutch champion of four-year-olds
Following his approval with the KWPN, Pagani of the Paddocks has consistently proven himself to be among the very best of his age group year after year. As a four-year-old, he won the KWPN Championship, and last year he finished second in this national young horse championship. Pagani of the Paddocks has also made his mark in the stallion competition. He combines an eye-catching model with a willing character, excellent rideability and outstanding athletic scope.
Genetically, this six-year-old stallion is particularly interesting. His sire Catoki performed at the highest level with Philipp Weishaupt, winning the World Cup competition in Bordeaux and the 5* Grand Prix in Vigo, among other achievements. In breeding, Catoki proves his great value as the sire of standouts like Ermitage Kalone, Catch Me If You Can, Luigi d’Eclipse and Contanga. Pagani of the Paddocks was bred from the mare Lewinsky out of Holsteiner damline 8829, noted as the half-sister of none other than the Olympic stallion Clinton. Under Dirk Demeersman, this grey stallion celebrated many sportive highlights, and in breeding, he is influential through his son Cornet Obolensky and others. Granddam Urte can also be found in the second generation behind international sport stallions such as Contact van de Heffinck, with whom Toni Hassmann competed at 1.60m-level, Catalani and Boris van het Kluizebos.
In the final of the KWPN Championship in Ermelo, Pagani of the Paddocks received high praise from the jury. “This stallion is very rideable, sharp, and consistently jumps with excellent elevation through the withers. He uses his body exceptionally well and is a pleasure to watch,” remarked judge Marcel Beukers.
