Stal Hendrix horses take to the world Championships stage

Seven horses with connections to Stal Hendrix travelled to the 2026 FEI World Championships in Aachen, representing seven different nations on the sport’s most prominent stage outside the Olympic Games.

From horses bred through the HX Breeding programme to those identified, developed or sold by Stal Hendrix during their careers, their presence at the Championships reflected the international reach of the Stal Hendrix operation and its long-standing focus on producing horses capable of progressing to the highest level of the sport.

The seven horses who travelled to the Championships were:

  • Dynastie de Beaufour (Diamant de Semilly x Cassini II | Breeder: E. Lavallois), ridden by Nina Mallevaey for France – 8th individually
  • Qarisma van ’t Roosakker (Comme il Faut x Diamant de Semilly | Breeder: M. Kluskens), ridden by Laura Kjaergaard for Denmark
  • Jagger HX (Ustinov x Bustique | Breeder: HX Breeding), ridden by Amy Millar for Canada
  • Kennedy HX (Vittorio x Bustique | Breeder: HX Breeding), ridden by Ahmed Nasar Elnaggar for Egypt
  • CSF Whipper Snapper VDL (Zirocco Blue x Quick Star | Breeder: B. Connolly), ridden by Derin Demirsoy for Turkey
  • Querido van ’t Ruytershof (Mosito van het Hellehof x Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve | Breeder: Stal ’t Ruytershof), ridden by Giampiero Garofalo for Italy – reserve
  • Hialita B (Emerald van ’t Ruytershof x Vaillant | Breeder: Manege Beukers), ridden by Thaisa Erwin for Australia – reserve

While Querido van ’t Ruytershof and Giampiero Garofalo, and Hialita B and Thaisa Erwin, travelled as reserves for their respective nations, five Stal Hendrix-connected horses took to the arena over the course of the Championships.

Leading the contingent was Dynastie de Beaufour and Nina Mallevaey, who produced an outstanding series of performances to finish eighth individually for France. The pair made an impressive start to their World Championship campaign with a clear round in the opening competition. They continued that form into the second competition, jumping clear in the first round before adding just four faults in the second. Their consistency secured their progression to the individual final, where another clear in Round A was followed by five faults in Round B, ultimately earning them an excellent eighth-place finish among the world’s leading horse-and-rider combinations.

The result represents another significant achievement in the career of Dynastie de Beaufour, who was scouted in 2023 by Stal Hendrix and purchased by the Rein Family in 2023 and underlines the mare’s quality, consistency and ability to perform across multiple demanding rounds on one of the sport’s biggest stages.

For Laura Kjaergaard and Qarisma van ’t Roosakker, who was purchased as a seven year old in 2023 by Stal Hendrix in partnership together with Jos Lansink, the Championships represented a particularly important milestone, being the first major senior Championship for both horse and rider. They stepped up confidently and produced a superb clear in the opening qualifying competition, which served as both the team and individual qualifier, before delivering another strong performance with just four faults in the second team competition. Their performances marked an exciting step forward for the combination and demonstrated their ability to compete among the very best in the sport.

The Stal Hendrix-bred Jagger HX represented Canada with Amy Millar on board, finishing in the top half of the field after two days of competition. Out of a Bustique mare, the 12-year-old gelding who was competing in his first Championship, put on a solid performance, backing up his successes earlier in the summer, which included a second-place finish in the CSI4* Grand Prix in Vancouver.

Derin Demirsoy was the highest placed member of the Turkish team aboard CSF Whipper Snapper VDL. The 10-year-old gelding jumped a super clear on the opening day of the competition, following up with just 5 faults on day two on what was a big step-up for the horse in his first year competing at CSI5* level.

Representing Egypt, Ahmed Nasar Elnaggar rode another Stal Hendrix bred gelding – Kennedy HX. The 11-year-old is also out of a Bustique mare, and was another taking a major step-up in level, having previously not jumped over 1.55m. With two 8-fault rounds to his name, Kennedy HX demonstrated that he was not out of place in such top company and has an exciting future ahead.

The presence of seven Stal Hendrix-connected horses within seven different national teams – Italy, Canada, Egypt, Australia, France, Denmark and Turkey – is a proud reflection of the international nature of Stal Hendrix today. For almost five decades, the Hendrix family has focused on identifying, breeding and developing talented horses and creating the foundations from which they can progress through the sport. Seeing horses connected to different stages of that programme selected for a World Championship is testament not only to their individual quality, but also to the long-term philosophy at the heart of Stal Hendrix.

From horses bred at HX Breeding to those developed and sold through Stal Hendrix, the 2026 FEI World Championships provided another memorable chapter in that story.
