FARZACK DES ABBAYES - Information

Farzack des Abbayes makes a promising start in sport and breeding

For 2023, the focus for Farzack des Abbayes will be on the international sport and will remain available for breeding with frozen semen only. Under Gaj Riossa this outstanding French talent is gaining an impressive track record, which includes many clear rounds and placings. In 2019, this Selle Francias and Zangersheide approved stallion won the championship title for four-year-olds at the national championships in Fontainebleau. He has continued to stand out ever since.

Besides a very successful sports career, also the first offspring of this Montender son meet high expectations. Paul Hendrix: “We are looking forward to seeing Farzack’s further developments as a showjumper this year. His first foals are very promising and have been sold for good prices in the auctions. As two-year-olds, his offspring show great qualities in free jumping. Farzack des Abbayes has a bright future ahead in both sport and breeding, that’s certain!”

Farzack des Abbayes is sired by Montender, who was unprecedentedly successful for years. Under Marco Kutscher he won double bronze at the Olympics and double gold at the European Championships. Montender made progress in breeding thanks to successful offspring such as Tokyo du Soleil, Monte Bellini and Messenger. His dam, Palme du Landey, already foaled the international 1.45m showjumper Urtimack des Abbayes and 1.40m level jumper Valmack des Abbayes. Numerous international showjumpers have descended from this French damline already, including Grand Prix showjumper Viva de Malica.
