Gaspahr, the right mix of blood and power
Unlimited power, very careful and a lot of blood. That characterizes the mighty stallion Gaspahr. Under Pieter Keunen, the Berlin son impresses time and time again at national and international competitions. As a five-year-old, he won the Stal Hendrix competition and as a six-year-old he jumped with great ease clear rounds at the World Championships in Lanaken. Gaspahr is now successful competing at international 1.45m level.
Gaspahr is approved as a three-year-old at the KWPN and in the performance test he made a great impression with his scope, willingness and attitude. His sire Berlin was for many years a true ambassador for Dutch show jumping under the saddle of Gerco Schröder. They achieved sporting highlights such as winning team gold at the World Championships in Aachen and European team gold in Mannheim. In breeding, Berlin has distinguished himself thanks to offspring at top level like Extra, Athene, Zilverstar T and Zerlin. Gaspahr represents a solid damline. His dam Costa jumped at 1.30m herself and is sired by top progenitor Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve. Great-granddam Jante has foaled the Grand Prix jumping horse Triple (by Gran Corrado) who was successful for many years with Michel Hendrix. They were jointly responsible for the team silver during the EC Young Riders in 2008. Also the KWPN approved stallion No Limit (by Indoctro) is an son of Jante.
The first offspring of Gaspahr were born in 2016. He seems to inherit his size, light-footedness and jumping ability to a great extent. Last year his daughter Lebora, out of his first year of breeding, was invited for the National Mare Show and his son Markant was invited for the KWPN Stallion Show.
