Offspring of Bustique dominates international shows

15 February 2021

The year 2021 is only a few weeks old and several of Bustique’s offspring have already managed to achieve victories. After both Bonita van het Keizershof and Berdien Z already won Grand Prixs this year, it was last week time for the the DSHS auction highlight Golia to claim the victory. He won the ranking class in Oliva and was absolutely not the only successful Bustique offspring last week.

The by Jean Dresen bred Dutch warmblood Golia (f.k.a. Goliath, Bustique x Coriano) turned out to be unbeatable on Saturday in the Gold Tour during the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva. Under Marlon Zanotelli, the gelding owned by Ashford Farm achieved the fastest clear round in the jump-off of this 1.45m ranking class.

Placed in 3* GPs
Golia was by no means the only successful Bustique offspring last week. Other offspring were able to win prizes in the Grand Prixs of Vilamoura and Vejer de la Frontera. In the 1.50m Grand Prix of the Sunshine Tour, Gaga E d’Augustijn (Bustique x Elsmhorn) under Jordy van Massenhove was one of combinations placed for the jump-off. With only time penalties, this promising pair finished on the eighth place. For the Netherlands, Mel Thijssen competed in the 1.50m Grand Prix of the Vilamoura Atlantic Tour aboard the Bustique offspring Florida Balia NL (ds.Lux). With one fence down in this delicate class they finished seventh. The Indoctro son Bustique is distinguishing himself more and more as a top breeding stallion and will again be available for breeding at Stal Hendrix this season.
