Apart and Confu prove value by winning Grand Prixs

15 December 2020

It was a creditable weekend for two horses that come from the stables of Stal Hendrix. Under Laura Kraut the Holsteiner gelding Confu (s.Contact Me) achieved an excellent victory in the 4* Grand Prix of Wellington, and in his own country Pieter Devos secured a home victory with the incredible Larino offspring Apart, bred by Stal Hendrix.

Laura Kraut and the Stal Hendrix reference Confu have teamed up for a couple of years and already achieved great results. In the Spy Coast Farm Holiday II Grand Prix at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington they could add another 4*-GP win to their record, in which they beated 44 competitors. “Confu has just been such a great partner for me. He’s like my security blanket, whenever I need one to come out and do something well, it’s him. I appreciate him every time I get to jump him and when he performs like this it just makes everything wonderful. Anytime you win a class like this, it’s why we do it”, tells Laura. “2020 was nice for Confu, he really had an easy year. We did a lot of riding out in the countryside in England, so he did a lot of hills, opening gates and crossing creeks. He actually felt like he was having fun and like he loved it, and it showed in the way he jumped in the Grand Prix.”

In the Sentower Park in Opglabbeek-Belgium, Pieter Devos secured a home victory aboard the Stal Hendrix bred Apart (Larino x Burggraaf). In the jump-off of the 2*-Grand Prix they had to face no less than 21 competitors, from which a total of 12 remained clear. No challenge to big for Pieter and Apart, so they beated them all. That’s how Apart, the DSHS Horse of the Year 2017, proved his incredible value once again.
