First sport horse auction at WEC Ocala – FL

On March 17, 2023, the first World Sport Horse Auction will take place at the WEC in Ocala, Florida. For this premiere the teams of Redfield Farm, Stal Hendrix and Andre Thieme have sourced a varied collection of excellent showjumpers, hunters and equitation horses. The teams look forward to collaborating with the WEC to create an auction night to remember.

“We are very proud that we are able to organize this auction at one of the most beautiful venues on the planet; the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida”, Paul Hendrix says. “When I visited the new WEC accommodation together with two of my long-term business partners, Emil Spadone from Redfield Farms and reigning European showjumping champion André Thieme, we all agreed that this venue would be the perfect place to organize an auction. We want to do the WEC justice and like this organization, we only want to offer the best. Hence my family and the teams of Redfield Farm and Andre Thieme have selected the best horses from all our stables and combined them into the first collection of the World Sport Horse Sales. We are confident that the quality of these horses and our track record of horses that have gone on to be successful in the sport after being sold at the Dutch Sport Horse Sales, match the quality of the WEC.

The collection
For the 2023 collection the selection committee has looked far beyond the borders of Europe to find well-suited horses for the American circuit. The collection is a varied group of top-talented young showjumpers, horses that will be well-matched with competitive Junior Amateur riders and some very fine hunters and equitation horses. “All 14 horses are very different, but the quality is equally high. We are very grateful for the trust the team of the WEC and the Roberts family have placed in us and that they are giving us the opportunity to organize this event. All parties are tremendously excited and look forward to the auction on March 17.
