Cape Coral RBF Z and A Moonlight Speciale Z KWPN selected

2 February 2024

During the KWPN Stallion Show in Den Bosch, the 15-year-old son of Cornet Obolensky, Cape Coral RBF Z, has been selected for the five-day character test, after which he will obtain his breeding license. The KWPN had previously approved two of his sons and based on his own performances and highly promising offspring, Cape Coral RBF Z is allowed to undergo this shortened assessment. Additionally, the seven-year-old A Moonlight Speciale Z (s.Aganix du Seigneur) has also been selected for the performance test.

This year, Stal Hendrix did not present three-year-old stallions at the KWPN Stallion Show but showcased two older stallions. Cape Coral RBF Z continues to distinguish himself as a breeding stallion, catching the attention of the KWPN. They had previously approved his sons No Mercy and Opus One JDV, assessed a group of talented mares at the mare inspection, in the ability tests, and at the National Mare Championshio. A significant percentage of Cape Coral RBF Z’s offspring are already excelling in international classes. Combined with his own performances up to international 1.50m level, Cape Coral RBF Z only needs to undergo a character test through the five-day performance evaluation in Ermelo. “We are pleased to have a stallion like Cape Coral RBF Z presented to us and we are looking forward to approve him after completing the five-day test. His breeding results are very promising, and we have seen here that even at the age of fifteen, he continues to impress with his conformation and type”, stated committee chairman Wout-Jan van der Schans.

Scope and pedigree
After a successful presentation during the first round viewing and in the stallion competition, the now seven-year-old stallion A Moonlight Speciale Z (Aganix du Seigneur x Chacco-Blue) was selected for the 21-day performance test. In the past year, this grandson of the Grand Prix winning mare Vink Especiale already achieved good results in young horse classes such as the Stal Hendrix competition. A Moonlight Speciale Z also impressed in the stallion competition with his tremendous scope and quality. That’s why the stallion committee decided to select A Moonlight Speciale Z for the performance stallion test and he will be available for breeding for the first time this year.
