Two exceptional references in the Rolex GP of Aachen
6 July 2025
Martin Fuchs made history today with a stunning victory aboard Leone Jei in the prestigious Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen. This gelding, sold through Stal Hendrix, claimed his sixth Rolex Grand Prix title in a spectacular way. And he wasn’t the only Stal Hendrix reference to shine in this world-class event. Nina Mallevaey and Dynastie de Beaufour once again proved they belong among the sport’s elite.
To have two horses finish among the top five in the Grand Prix of Aachen is nothing short of a dream result. Nina Mallevaey’s time with the Eric Levallois-bred Dynastie de Beaufour was even faster than Fuchs’ winning round with Leone Jei, but a single rail kept the French rider just behind four combinations that jumped triple clear, landing her in a very respectable fifth place. Just last month, this striking pair placed second in the CSIO5* Grand Prix of Rotterdam, and in May they topped the Grand Prix at CSI3* JPM International in Kessel. The rise of this Diamant de Semilly offspring -also sold via Stal Hendrix- is nothing short of remarkable, and the ease with which she tackled Aachen’s demanding tracks at speed suggests there’s still much more to come from this combination. Nina also delivered strong performances with Mr. Cornike (s.Cornet Obolensky), who was sold through the Dutch Sport Horse Sales. In the Youngster Tour at Aachen, the pair jumped two days completely clear, underlining their promising form.
Sixth Rolex Grand Prix Victory
But the highest honors today go to Martin Fuchs. The Swiss rider saw a lifelong dream come true in the legendary Aachen Soers arena. Leone Jei, the Baltic VDL son who was sold as a six-year-old by Stal Hendrix to Martin’s sponsor Adolfo Juri, delivered three phenomenal rounds. After wins in Geneva, Dinard, Calgary (twice!), and Windsor, this marks their sixth Rolex Grand Prix triumph. A feat that places them firmly among showjumping’s all-time greats.
