Newmarket VM: top modern talent with great origins
In the spring of 2021, Newmarket VM was approved by the KWPN with an impressive total of 83.5 points. This top talent is co-owned by Team Nijhof. Paul Hendrix: “We are convinced that Newmarket VM can become a very influential stallion. He combines an incredible model with a lot of stallion expression, a top pedigree and a way of jumping that you rarely see. On top of that, his first foals who were born in 2022 seem to have all that we can wish for: good conformation, development, and movements.”
Last winter, Newmarket VM showed his qualities and potential in the stallion competition under Kars Bonhof. He made a good impression with his scope, reflexes and technique. As a three-year-old, he scored high marks in the performance test and in the KWPN performance test report Newmarket VM is praised for his good balance in canter, carefulness, very good use of the body and front leg, and athletic scope. He received top test scores – all 8,5 – for his light-footed canter, quick reflexes, good technique and talent as a jumper. “Newmarket VM is heading towards a great future, and we are glad that the breeders showed their trust in this future star. Together with Team Nijhof, we try to manage him as wellas possible for the sport and breeding.”
His sire Chacoon Blue is a strong inheriting son of Chacco-Blue and has performed at international 1.50m level with Philip Rüping. His oldest offspring stand out in de young horse and stallion competitions. Newmarket VM’s dam Nouvelle Star Z has already produced several showjumpers and brings in the valuable genes of top-class progenitors Numero Uno and Carthago. From this direct line already comes the international sport and breeding stallion Zambesi.
