Touch Especiale, one of the eye-catchers of the KWPN Stallion Show.

Last winter, Touch Especiale was one of the eye-catchers at the KWPN Stallion Show, and his complete package of conformation, canter, jumping ability, and pedigree earned him the title of premium stallion. This well-developed eye-catcher is a modern half-brother to the nine-year-old international 1.50m-level stallion A Moonlight Speciale (s.Aganix du Seigneur), who has been making a strong impression in sport under Pieter Keunen.

Touch Especiale is sired by the proven producer Don’t Touch Tiji Hero, who himself competed at international 1.45m-level and, as a half-brother to among others the Grand Prix stallion Akarad Hero Z, three 1.50m-level jumpers, and promising stallions such as Drummer 2000 TN and Devil 2000 Z, comes from an outstanding family. Don’t Touch Tiji Hero is proving his value as a sire through offspring such as Grand Prix winner Dourkhan Hero Z, Qiara de Kalvarie, and Moneypenny. Dam Double-Speciale combines the valuable performance genes of top sire Chacco-Blue with the Grand Prix and World Cup-winning mare Vink Especiale, with whom Eric van der Vleuten enjoyed great success. This daughter of Voltaire forms the foundation of multiple international 1.50/1.55m-level performers, including La Luna Especiale, High Fly Special, Especiale Too, Be Special, and Also Especiale.

Touch Especiale meets the additional veterinary requirements of the KWPN, which means that as a selected stallion he is already permitted to cover mares this year. His first crop of offspring will be entered in Register A. After successfully completing the performance test next year, this will automatically be converted into the foal book. At the KWPN Stallion Show, he made a strong impression with his long-lined conformation, powerful canter, athletic ability, and attitude.
